When you are attending a concert or watching a film, you like to get into the best position. You want to be able to hear. You want to be able to see. You aren’t too happy when the largest person in the place is seated right in front of you. You don’t like when you have to watch the entire football game on the big screen because from your seats the players look like ants.
In Habakkuk 2:1, he says that he is going to climb up to the watchtower. He was going up there to wait on the Lord. When he went up there, he was in the best position to wait for what God had to say in response.
You aim to get in the best position at a concert or sporting event. You aim to get in the best position in line to get the new product faster. Do you aim to be in the best position to hear what God has to say? Are you in the best position now?
“I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint.” – Habakkuk 2:1 [NLT]
