The world can feel like a very lonely place. With technology growing, we have become even more disconnected. There are moments when you can feel very alone. It is as if no one cares. It is as if no one knows of your situation, your problems, your suffering, your pain. But that’s not true.
Hagar was running away because Sarai (Sarah) was unkind to her since she was with child. Could you imagine having someone give permission for something to occur, but then when it happens as one would assume, they turn around and act in disgust toward you? So she ran. She ran away. But God intervened.
God saw Hagar. He knew what she was going through. He understood. He comforted her and promised her a large family. Hagar said, “You’re the God who sees me.” He certainly is the God who sees and He sees you. He knows what you are going through too. Thankfully, like Hagar we can see Him as well! Today, reconnect with God, or if you haven’t connected with Him before, reach out to Him. He sees you.
“She answered God by name, praying to the God who spoke to her, ‘You’re the God who sees me!
‘Yes! He saw me; and then I saw him!’”
– Genesis 16:13 [MSG]
