Too often lately it seems like the sky is falling. You’ve been there, right? We each have seasons that seem more trying than others. Usually when a few dominoes fall, it appears as if all the dominoes are going to collapse. This is when the anxiety gets high. This is when the depression settles upon us. In these moments of trial and testing, we may fall away or these tests and trials may cause us to dig deeper, to take a pause and reevaluate things, and it brings us to our knees. These moments provide an opportunity for trust.
We read in 1 Corinthians 10:13: “We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously” (TPT). Paul makes it clear here that “each test is an opportunity to trust.” But don’t miss the second part of the verse — “along with every trial God has provided for you a way to escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.” God provides the way out. God provides victory.
Today, whatever you may be going through, trust that God is for you and He is with you. He has made a way out. He already has promised you the victory. He may be calling you to something. Trust that He has already provided you all that you need to accomplish what He has called you to do right now (Philippians 4:19). Step forward in faith. Perhaps He is leading you out of your comfort zone. Remember that you won’t be alone in this journey forward. He is right with you every step of the way. Get uncomfortable with Him and see Him move in a mighty way. If you feel you are at a breaking point, draw closer to Him. He is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). Don’t be afraid to reach out to a brother or sister in Christ for encouragement and counsel as well. We aren’t meant to do life alone. There are always people around who will walk with you. It is the devil who tells you that you are alone to keep you from living out what God has for you. You got this my friend! Why? Because God’s got this!!
Heavenly Father, please strengthen and equip us for the journey ahead. Lord, help me to see You more clearly today as I step forward in faith. Remind me that I am never alone. Thank You for the victory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
