The Privilege of Worshiping

Psalm 100:3 reads: “And realize what this really means—we have the privilege of worshiping the Lord our God. For He is our Creator and we belong to Him. We are the people of His pleasure  (TPT). The ESV translates it this way: “Know that the LORD, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.”

Do you consider it a privilege to worship?

Do you get excited to worship?

Are you thankful for the opportunity to worship?

These are the questions to consider today.

The Bible tells us that it’s a privilege to worship. We are blessed because we are created by God and we are His special possession. He gives us the opportunity to live, to experience His creation, and most importantly, to have a relationship with Him — and this relationship allows us the opportunity to get to know Him more, to get to see Him. Yes, the God of the universe gives us the awesome opportunity and know Him and to do life with Him — the privilege to partner with Him and to be in His presence. He even pours out His Spirit to those who believe.

Worship today as if it is a privilege, because it is. Get excited to worship Him. Celebrate Him. Rejoice in Who He is and how He moves. Enjoy His presence. Lift your hands. Raise your voice. Shout His name. “Acknowledge that the LORD is God. He made us, and we are His–His people, the sheep of his pasture” (CSB).
